description
- Two-way, two-position, poppet-type, pilot-operated, normally-open solenoid valve. In the de-energized position, free flow is allowed from port 2 to port 1, and flow is restricted from port 1 to port 2. In the energized position, flow is blocked from port 2 to port 1 and free flow is allowed from port 1 to port 2.
applications
- Used in applications requiring low leakage, such as single-acting cylinder applications
caution
- Any sliding spool valve, if held for long periods of time, may stick and not spring return due to fluid residue formation and therefore should be cycled periodically to prevent this from happening
