- 2.1875" Shaft, 3.75" Base to Center, Contact Seals, Eccentric Collar, Non-Expansion Type
description
- Fafnir SAOL type heavy series pillow blocks are designed for applications where higher-than-usual temperature applications where for any reason one or more floating bearing units required. The floating unit allows its bearing to move axially as the shaft expands because of the temperature rise, while the fixed unit maintains shaft location. Bearings also have loose internal fit. The SAOL unit is equipped with a heavy series, self-aligning SMN wide inner ring bearing and self-locking collar. An external aligning ring is fitted to the spherical surface of the outer ring. They are equipped with oil-tight seals and are normally fitted for oil lubrication, but can be equipped for grease lubrication when specified. NOTE: Lubricate with high grade automotive or turbine oil, or ball bearing grease before installation. All units are assembled with a spacer ring (Fixed type). By removing the spacer ring, the assembly becomes a floating unit.
