description
- Tapered roller bearings are comprised of solid inner and outer rings with tapered raceways and tapered rollers in a window cage. Open bearings are not self retaining. As a result, the inner ring with the rollers and the cage can be mounted separately from the outer ring. Compared to standard tapered roller bearings, X-Life™ tapered roller bearings from Schaeffler provide as much as 20% higher basic dynamic load rating, 70% longer rating life, 50% less friction (or up to 75% less friction for units with a steep taper) and 20% lower operating temperatures.
applications
- Gearboxes
